Meet Daniel Tomlinson, aka @TomlinsonClean. Wondering who Daniel is? Daniel is the owner of Tomlinson House Cleaning, LLC in Nashville, Tennessee. Besides running his own business, Daniel is passionate about some pretty cool things. On my personal Twitter account, you’ll see that he’s an active member in my community.
What does a week in your life look like? Each day has similar protocol. I drop my daughter off at school. I return to the office/home to assemble my cleaning arsenal. I clean two houses with another team member. I stop by Land Rover to be with my friend Michael Zello. We dream, solve the world’s problems and complain about our own problems. I pick my daughter up. We go home to play.
What are you passionate about and how do you live that out in your life? I’m passionate about Jesus Christ. He saves me on a daily basis. I’m passionate about giving back. Tomlinson Cleaning participates in the annual Ty II 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in honor of Ty Osman who gave his life helping a stranded motorist in Texas. I’m passionate about Pregnancy Care Center led by my friend Lisa Cathcart who empowers families in crisis pregnancy situations. I’m passionate about the church where Jesus comes to work through our hands and feet to the world.
If you could share one tip or wisdom that you’ve learned in your lifetime? What is the story behind that? Ask for help when you need it. Don’t be a Lone Ranger. Life is hard, and every single one of us will fail, suffer and lose. Smile at people. Draw boundaries between you and those who drag you down. Never give up. There is never a time in life when you think there is a point of no return. God raises the dead. He can heal, sustain and restore us to our former glory.
As an entrepreneur, what is a challenge you’ve faced in starting your company and how have you overcome that? Whose house do you really want to clean? Amy Grant’s of course! LOL
Return next week for the next Featured Follower Friday. I love hearing stories and tips from people in the real world, and this is a way that we can together create an online community of sharing insight and experience. Every week, I will pick an engaged Twitter or Facebook follower and send them a brief interview. I’ll then feature them on our Friday blog!
